"From Mamma's Garden" My parents transplanted this rose bush from our family home to their downsized residence and it was lovingly tended by Papa until he died 5 years ago. Mamma then nervously took over its care and it has flourished. We take the first bloom to his gravesite each year and it therefore has great sentimental value to the family. I love the fact that as it dies it turns the most vibrant (almost fluorescent) shade of magenta and is in some way more beautiful than in its prime. Amen to that!
