This lovely leafless saprophytic orchid, also known as the black bootlace orchid, is an Australian native plant endemic to eastern Australia. The flower bearing stems can climb as far as 6 metres up the trunks of trees such as Leptospermum or common tea tree. The sweetly scented flowers usually appear from August to December, attracting small native bees.
