Corinna May was born in Hong Kong in 1962. Corinna completed a Bachelor of Business in 1985 in Melbourne. She worked in marketing in the travel industry before starting a family. In 1990, Corinna and family moved to Hong Kong and lived there for 10 years. It was the last two years in Hong Kong that Corinna started painting in watercolour, predominantly landscapes and flowers. Since 2010, Corinna attended botanical illustration classes in Melbourne with Dianne Emery.
Since 2015, Corinna has also attended botanical illustration classes at the Geelong Botanical Gardens with John Pastoriza-Piñol. Corinna has exhibited regularly in The Art of Botanical Illustration exhibitions in Melbourne and also in exhibitions in Geelong.
In 2018, one of her paintings was chosen to be included in the Flora of Australia exhibition in Canberra by the Botanical Art Society of Australia, as part of the Botanical Art Worldwide exhibition.
Corinna now lives in Melbourne. It is here that she nurtures her garden to find inspiration and gathers subjects for her paintings.
